The ladies visit Egypt in an attempt to serve as political pawns in Augustus ceasers war with Marc Anthony.

Marc Anthony refuses to meet them. Cleopatra takes it a step further and suggests they should kill them and claim their ship crashed. Marc Anthony refuses.

Ceasers freed slave (forget his name) and his new wife sneak out of Cleopatras temple and meet with the roman women on their ship.

Together they all return to ROME.

However ceasers freed slave has stolen a copy of an agreement Marc Anthony wrote to Cleopatra which states that her son is the rightful heir and not Augustus. This provides the impetus for Augustus to lead a naval campaign against MA and turn public opinion against him.

On the avantine things are getting heated. Pullo is forced to Parlay with the other gang leaders in Luscius' abscence. Pullo is not good at Parlay and proceeds to bite out the guys tongue and throw an ax into his henchmen.

I probably missed some stuff and mixed up some episodes but those are the basic plot points.

so varenus didn't kill them.....what happened there....and like what did marc say to varenus afterwards?

Marc Anthony instructed Luscious to tell them to return to ROME.

When luscious obeys the order he is smacked in the face by Attia who proclaims MA to be a coward. Her daughter instructs luscious to pass along a similiar message, which he does.

When given the message MA asks Luscious if he agrees with the statement to which luscious responsds: "No but I think you have a sickness" he goes on to describe this sickness as self-destruction. When challenged how he could make such a diagnosis Luscious responds succinctly: "I know this sickness because I suffer from it as well".
