Patio Mayhem

Post by Sineath » Wed Aug 12, 2009 1:51 am

Very hot Florida day, today. After 25', I was dizzy and nauseous, had to stop for 10 minutes. But, finished! Good but not perfect, I'm afraid. Too big a job for 2 guys, turns out.

FLA. FLOODED WITH ILLEGAL ALIENS WILLING TO HELP LAY CEMENT OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT ISN'T DEAD FOR CHEAP!

also,

I don't believe I have done that much manual labour in the total sum of my years.

That is a butt load of cement, yikes.

Last summer I revamped my homes entire landscaping. I brought in 15 yards of rock and had 8 tons of material removed (dumpsters are weighed at the dump in which you are billed for total weight.)

Entirely manual, and all by myself...I was HURT'N!!!

8 tons...now thats pretty impressive.
When I remodeled my house and gutted 3 bedrooms and the kitchen, including taking out some walls...I only hit 3 tons...and that was a pain in the ass.

garts on the new patio :)

Makes me NOT look forward to doing the concrete work below my deck, it's gonna take about 10 CY's to do the space I'd like to get done, yuck !
