What's a good but free AV program I can download off the net?

I started using microsoft security essentials a while ago and I like it.

I use Avast Home edition, all it takes is to register your email address and you get sent a serial that lasts a year, then when it's up you just refresh your registration and they send you another year serial, rinse, repeat.

I have been using AVG Free edition for years now. It never expires and is 100% free. You can download it from www.downloads.com. Hope this helps
